I have a Gold US airways visa w/ BoA. Family members have Signature cards and have been changed over to Barclay’s Master cards.
Family members have been switched to Barclays Master cards. I have a BofA Gold visa will it be switched at some time too?

It was apparently only a small portion of their US Airways portfolio, predominantly members from a few east coast states, including NC, PA, and one or two others. They kept the majority of the US Air cards in their portfolio, though.

I’m flying from Boston to LGA and then LGA to Boston in April. I’m only 16 but under US airways, they say it’s fine. What kind of ID do I need? I have a state ID with my picture and address, will that be enough? Is there anything else I should bring?

As long as you aren’t leaving the country, your drivers license is fine. That’s really all they need. You can also check the airline’s website for more information on travel requirements. Make sure you arrive early. Security can really take forever sometimes. The airline will have security guidelines posted on the website, as well. Be prepared before you go and it will go much smoother. I’d also advise wearing slip-on shoes.

I fly a ton for work with both United and US Airways and am looking to make a decision about which frequent flyer program to start using. Are they merging their programs soon? Thanks for the help.

I am flying to chicago from sacramento round trip, how many times will they charge me bag fees and how much, also whats the limit, and is there a way not to pay for luggage , some type of dicount with us airways ?

Bag fees will be charged in both directions. Pack very lightly so you can fit everything into a carry-on if you want to avoid the fees. The charges are shown here on the airline website: http://www.usairways.com/en-US/traveltools/baggage/baggagepolicies.html Note that it’s cheaper if you check-in on line and pay at that time.

So I used my miles to fly first class for once from Monterey, CA to Tampa, FL, with a transition in Phoenix Arizona.

Unfortunately Monterey to Phoenix is US Airways Express (CRJ plane) so no first class even offered, however I got it on a Airbus 320 from Phoenix to Tampa.

So what are the first class perks? Can I literally say I’d like a Jack & Coke, Gin and Tonic, and Heinekin please?

Basically the advantages of flying in first class are:
1. Larger (wider) seats with a greater seat pitch (distance between your nose and the seatback in front of you) that are located at the front of the plane.
2. Complimentary inflight liquor, wine, and beer
3. Pre-boarding
4. No charge for the first piece (or two) of checked luggage.
5. Luggage priority (some airlines attempt to off-load and deliver first class checked luggage before all others).
6. Dedicated flight attendant(s) to work the first class cabin. Lower attendant to passenger ratio than in the main cabin.
7. Complimentary inflight meal or snack (depending on airline and time of day).
8. Bonus frequent flyer miles.
9. Often the ability to confirm seat assignments before those not flying in premium cabins.

Please include where I can get my US Airways account number from. Thanks!

You can get it from the US Airways check-in desk at any airport or you can call them to have it mailed to you.

I’m planning to buy plane tickets for my girlfriend to fly her from the US to the UK, I have accumulated a number of miles with US Airways that I would like to use as a discount for the plane tickets. Would that be possible?

That is not a problem. When you redeem the miles, just tell them the name of the passenger.

US AirWays?

I’m leaving wednesday to Phoenix to visit my aunt and uncle for february vacation from high school. I wanted to know if they were good and what they were like and what the perks were of riding with them? This is my 1st time going alone and 2nd time ever going on a plane. Last time 2 years ago I went to phoenix I went with my mom her bf little sister and baby brother on Continental and they were good. Whats your opinions and personal experience with US Airways? Thanks! xD
im flying from manchester new hampshire connecting through charlotte north carolina to phoenix arizona on the way there and connecting through philadelphia on the way back

I went on US Airways. The service is really nice. Once, when I had to sit away from my parents on the flight, my seat was totally empty so my mom asked the flight attendant if she could move to my seat and she didn’t mind at all. So for service, they are great!

I mean it takes so long on public transport to get from the New York airports to the centre of New York City. So as yesterday’s experiences show there has to be scope for a faster airborne service is there not?
No I agree the pilot did an excellent job!

…of course if it had been me I would have brought it up to the pier so that the passengers could disembark without getting their feet wet.

Ha ha, that’s an absolute classic. Love it.

About a year ago I saw a commercial for U.S. Airways I believe it was for. Where people from Philly were going to fly up to Boston. And they were trying to talk like them up there. I heard there is a similar commercial up in Boston trying to talk like people from Philly? Anyone know this commercial. It was funny. And where I can watch it?

i dunno but I don’t think this texan would get it cause they all sound the same to me lol

but, of course, if you dont speak hillbilly then i prolly won’t understand them ;)
