What kind of Identification (ID) would a person under 17 years old need to go to Puerto Rico with United Airlines during the dates of December 26th 2009 through January 1st 2010?

None. Kids under 18 are not required to have I.D. to travel domestically…and this includes Puerto Rico. It is WISE to always have a form of I.D. with you. If you do not have a dr. license or state I.D. card, your student I.D. will do. Really a good idea at your age to have a state I.D. card…but it is Not required. See site below and read 1st sentence.

From Frankfurt to Orlando on the 24th december (after tomorow), economy class on delta airlines, what to do? THANKSYOU

ugh.. i feel your pain!! i had a flight that long a few times. first off, for long flights like these make sure you wear comfortable clothing and take an extra sweater even though your not cold. planes can get pretty chilly.here are some options so you wont be bored: make sure you charge your i-pod or mp3 player fully so you have long battery life on the plane. your best bet is to remove the back light on the i-pod. it will save your battery life by at least 20%. bring a snack with you! landing and taking off hurts my ears, so i usually bring gummy bears or gum or something.
do you have a laptop? they’re always fun and entertaining, especially is you have WIFI on the plane. They should be playing at least 3 movies, so you could check those out.buy some colorful magazines, and adventurous books. or any type of book or magazine that you like for that matter. keep in conversation–if someone is flying with you, talk to them, play games like tic tac toe, xoxo,& just keep talking. talking makes time go by faster. and lastly if your not easily annoyed by the noise of the jet engines, then SLEEP. by the time you wake up, you’ll be halfway their before you know it!

hope i helped!!! merry christmas :) hope you enjoy travelling as much as i do.
xo

I’m flying from Boston to LGA and then LGA to Boston in April. I’m only 16 but under US airways, they say it’s fine. What kind of ID do I need? I have a state ID with my picture and address, will that be enough? Is there anything else I should bring?

As long as you aren’t leaving the country, your drivers license is fine. That’s really all they need. You can also check the airline’s website for more information on travel requirements. Make sure you arrive early. Security can really take forever sometimes. The airline will have security guidelines posted on the website, as well. Be prepared before you go and it will go much smoother. I’d also advise wearing slip-on shoes.

I’m about to travel in the morning through united airlines but i’m not sure how much my luggage has to weigh, that way i won’t have to pay an extra fee for exceeding the weight required.

The baggage polices and fee schedules are on their website here: http://www.united.com/page/article/0,6722,52481,00.html It depends on whether you’re on a domestic or international flight, what service class you’re flying and your frequent flyer status.

Does anybody have a recent coupon code or promo code for Midwest Airlines? I would also be interested in Delta or even Northwest. Thank You!!

I was just wondering, since United Airlines decided to let users connect their iPod or iPhone to their personal tv so that they can watch their own videos. Do we need to buy a cord to connect it to the TV or do they provide it so we only need to bring our iPod?

Most airplanes that do have a personal tv for you to watch your own videos will require a cable.

Going on the trip with my family of 4,
How many bags can each person bring?

You can look at the details @ http://www.alaskaair.com/as/www2/help/faqs/CheckedBaggage.asp
But the upshot is that you can take no free checked luggage, but can take one carry-on bag, which can measure up to 10" H x 17" W x 24" L (25 x 43 x 61 cm) including wheels and handles, plus one personal item, such as a purse, briefcase or laptop computer. At least one of the items should be stowed under the seat in front of you.

I have a rat terrier. He’s a small dog. I want to take him home for Christmas, and Southwest airlines allow small pets to go in the cabin if their crate can fit under the seat. Southwest says online that the dogs must be able to move freely and stand up comfortably. The heighth of the seat is 8.5" and my dog is 11" tall. I’m wondering if that will really determine if i can fly home with my dog or not?

Do know that the transportation of animals is governed NOT by the airline but by the US Department of Agriculture (strange that it’s agriculture- but that’s the law) and therefore the airline can not just arbitrarily set their own standards.

The dog MUST be able to stand in the crate/kennel provided- among other rules.. For the dogs sake and comfort, do the right, humane and legal thing here— buy and use an appropriately sized container for the dog. Some airlines sell crates/kennels at the airport, but no all do– and you can often find good one cheaper at the store before you fly.

No sense in being turned away at the airport because of this matter.

How much baggage is allowed on a delta flight without fees and then on an american airlines flight without the fees?

If traveling internationally (including mexico, caribbean) two bags checked for free.

Both have an annual fee of $30.00, and I would like to accumulate flier miles without a credit card. I hate debt, so I think this is a great option. What is your opinion? Thank you in advance.

It depends on where you live, but I would pick U.S. Airways b/c there are more options w/in the continental U.S. (I live in CA). Alaska Airlines is concentrated primarily on the west coast.
