I am 30 years old and do not drive so all I have ever needed to carry is my social security card and birth certificate. I am worried that this may not be enough proof at check in. I can’t afford a pass port either.

You need a goverment issued ID, such as a state id.

I read on wikipedia that european flights are operated from Amsterdam. Does this mean that the drinking age is 18, like the other european-operated airlines? (I bought my ticket from KLM but the flight is being operated from NWA)

On NWA flights it is 21 years..

The 2 round trip tickets I have were bought a couple months ago & now I’m hearing that airlines are charging extra for some stuff.

Would you believe $1 per visit to the on board toilet!

I’m flying to Uganda in January and I’m considering booking my flight through cheaptickets.com; so far this is the cheapest place I’ve found (in the last 3 weeks of searching).

Looking at the itinerary, it says that all of my flights are through Northwest and I’ve been given Northwest flight numbers.

That said, the flights are operated by KLM airlines, as stated on my itinerary.

Northwest Airlines and KLM have different baggage policies. Whose policy would I follow?

Thanks!

I think maybe klm but call them and ask with this pnr what is the policy.

In january im flying to New York for a few days, then going to Canada to stay with my Uncle for a week. Im really excited and it should be fun, but i get nervous about flying.

I have flown Delta before to Indiana and it was okay. But this time Delta is more expensive, so i was looking at the cheaper Northwest Airlines. How is it compared to Delta or Other Airlines? should i just spend the extra 70 bucks and flight with the airline i know i will live on!?

Northwest isn’t that bad actually. Although I don’t travel much, but when I do I use Northwest or Delta, so its pretty good. Compared to Delta its a little worse, but not noticeably. Hope this helps.

It is a baby turtle not bigger than a quarter and the cage is about .5 inches by .5 inches. Would I be able to have the turtle as carry-on without a fee?

I know a guy that tried it and could not make his trip. Got all the way to check in and he was turned around.
So if you dont want to miss your trip or lose your turtle I would not try it with out checking with them.

no copying from the website! it does not help. i need someone who has traveled with a cockatiel 8 weeks or younger. i need the help! i already know the fee.

The airline website plainly says that small dogs, cats, birds may travel in the cabin in a proper carry-on under your seat. It also says that the animal must be over 8 weeks of age. So I doubt you are going to find anyone who has travelled with a bird less than 8 weeks old…as that is not allowed. If you have furthur questions, I think the best thing to do is call the airline and talk to them to get accurate info.

So can i bring my tennis rackets on the plane with me. Since i don’t want to put them in the bags and have them break. i have my own tennis bag but you can still see them. I’m riding north west. From Detroit to Florida

Hmm good question, did you check on their carry on policies? I travel NW airlines a lot and I think you should be okay…I have seen people carry one crazy stuff like skateboards and guitars. Good luck!

If they charge to check bags, how much is it for the first, and how much for the second? How much is charged for carry-on pets, if that is your only carry-on?

NW allows one checked bag under 50 lbs free of charge.

This excludes any service animals, of course. Your pet is NEVER considered a carry on allowance. As for your pet, only one or 2 pets are permitted in the entire airplane, so you must make a reservation and the fee is $80 one way for NW and that is for under your seat. You must provide a current travel certificate from your vet, including rabies vaccine.

Also, during the hot summer months, some airlines will not take pets at all. Southwest never accepts pets. Just FYI.

If you are traveling on one of their partner airlines, call NW directly.

coach. There was L , T, and K coach seats. What is the difference? Also there were different kinds of Northwest planes flying out at various times. There was Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, and MD DC9-30. What is the difference?

L, T, and K represent different types of fares that are available in the coach cabin. They will not only vary in price, but also in the terms of the tickets (that is, the advance purchase requirements, the change fee, whether it can be refunded, and so on.) There isn’t any difference in where you’d be sitting — each of those tickets is entitled to a seat in the coach cabin — but some may offer more flexibility than others if you need to make changes to the ticket.

The differences in the planes you list are distinct — Embraer planes are smaller than all of the rest of them, so they will have fewer passengers. Other differences between the planes will be the availability of onboard entertainment, the seating configuration, and the size of the seat. Information relevant to configuration and seat size between Northwest’s different planes can be found at the link below.
