I am a american going to Venezuela for 3 months(as a tourist), Will i get a tourist card on Delta Airlines or will I have to apply for it somewhere else?

See site below and read under Entry Requirements to see that tourist cards are issued on the flight.

How good is delta airlines? I’m flying on one of their planes for a really long time!

Delta coach seats are okay, but you don’t want a center seat when it’s three across. Also, some of the seats (like the ones in front of the exit row) don’t recline, so I’d recommend you avoid those. The exit rows and the bulkhead seats (i.e., the first row) have the most leg room, and the seats over the wing give the smoothest ride if you encounter air turbulents. Check out seatguru.com for seat info for the specific plane type you’ll be flying. The first class seats are definitely more comfy, but the coach seats are okay — unless you’re tall. If you’re tall, then the upgrade to first class for your overseas flight would be well worth the $$. Have a good flight!

My daughter flew from LAX to J.F.K., however, her plane had to circle for 45 minutes before landing, which caused her to miss her next flight to Rome. She was scheduled on Grecian Cruise and was suppose to get on the ship at Venice - they missed the ship because the mix-up in the flights and her luggage was never rerouted. She missed two stops of her cruise and was without luggage for the entire time. On the way back in Venice they found their luggage in the unclaimed luggage dept. When she called the airport in Venice they said they did not have her luggage. How does she get reimbursed for her miserable trip. Also she flew 1st Class. Help!!!!

Just use the contact us spot on their website.

This is the first time I am traveling on an airplane and I am wondering what electronics I am allowed to carry on.

Yes, you can bring electronic devices but you will have to turn them off at take off and landing.
My daughter travels with her portable DVD player and I use my Ipod to watch my shows.
You can also bring your laptop, MP3 players, etc.

I was just wondering about the quality of the flights like the plane and the service.

I would say there is not much difference between the 2 airlines especially if the flight is short. Continental is the only US airline that still serves a full meal a flights longer than 4 or 5 hours. I think Continental has a lower complaint rate than Delta and won the airline award for best legacy carrier in the United States.

Delta airlines?

Sep-18-2009 By admin

Anybody have any experience of using Delta airlines? I’m flying from Edinburgh to NY, Ny to San Fran this summer and wondering how the flights will be? Good food/entertainment?

They already changed the flight stop overs with no notification, so I’m hoping the flights won’t be as bad as the service!

Thanks!

I flew them from Europe to JFK, it was ok. Nothing great about the food - you have to pay for cocktails ( you get it free with a meal - you just have to ask ) We had no movie choice. The plane I was on did not have individual entertainment in the seat in front of you. Upon check in, try to ask for an Emergency Row seat, helps out with the leg room.
JFK- dealing with customs there is a nightmare, so be patient. We waited over 50 minutes for our bags and the Delta baggage claim area is a nightmare, there really is no structure.

You wont get any food service from JFK to San Fran, so if you have time you may want to grab something in the terminal.

I’m flying from Germany to New York with Delta airlines.. I know that 2 bags are free but how much does a third one cost?

Call me dumb but I don’t understand their website..

Depending on several conditions you may not even get the 2nd bag free. These types of questions are no longer simple to answer as only you know all the things needed to answer the question. What flight class, when was the ticket purchased, are you military? Just to name a few.On their excess baggage page the charges are: 1st. free, 2nd. $50, 3rd $100.

I would like to know why Delta air is one of the best airline to travel with internationally, what are some of Deltas loving sevices they give in the Economy Class?do they serve breakfast, lunch, dinner if one is to make about 11hrs flight journey?(economy class)?

yes, they will serve u breakfast lunch or dinner during long flights and also with tea and coffee with snacks during flight. they have good crafts and good service.

I have all my flight details and my dad told me to print out my ticket or something like that but I have no idea what to do and the website isn’t really giving me any clues. Would anyone be able to help me out? :D
Airlines will allow you to book in online (and get your eticket) 24 hours before the flight. All you need to do is go to Delta’s website 24 hours (and sooner) before your flight and use either your name or your confirmation number to check in. It will allow you to choose your seating (normally) as well. Once you have completely checked in, then print your boarding pass and this is what you will use to check your baggage and board the plane.

My son is17. He has already graduated from high school and will be turning 18 late August, but will still be 17 during travel. Does the unaccompanied minor fee still apply?

At his age he does not have to fly on ‘unaccompanied’ minor status. However, the option is still open to you to pay the extra fee. Although he may be embarrassed by this, it isn’t a bad idea if his itinerary entails a change of aircraft. Unaccompanieds are taken care of in case of flight delays/cancellations. He would not be forced to try to find a hotel on his own (if his second flight was cancelled for the day) and he would have top priority for travel in an oversell situation.
