I am not planning to have the animal in the cabin but sent with the cargo (luggage). Do I need a health certificate from a vet? How much does continental charge? I have been calling them but i dont get an answer and the continental website does not answer these questions. Have you had the experience of traveling with a cat or dog through continental? Tell me about it, please.
I already read that Charlie and it does not answer my questions.

Uhm….Charlie gave correct info and it DOES answer your questions.

His link shows what paperwork you need, kennel/crate requirements, when/where you are to arrive with the animal as well as the phone number for the Live Animal Desk where they give you the rates among other things..

continental airlines?

I will be taking 3 continental airline planes to reach my destination and i heard continental is badd, is it true ?????????????????

are colgan air and express jet (continental airline operated) bad as well?

Continental is actually a pretty good airline, comparatively speaking. While Other Airlines have scrapped food, pillows, blankets, etc. in recent years, Continental still offers them. They were just awarded this year’s JD Power award for customer satisfaction.

Expressjet is also a very good regional airline who does a great job while operating under the Continental Express brand. Colgan Air is not quite the same quality, and I believe they fly all turboprops.

Hi i am going to orlando very soon flying from manchester airport (england) and flying with continental airlines. seen as it is a long haul flight i was wondering if they had tv screens in the back of every single seats and can you watch what you want and do you have to pay for the earphones any other info would be appreciated thankss x

Continental doesn’t appear to fly non-stop from Manchester to Orlando. Most options actually on CO go via Newark on a Boeing 757-200. If that is the flight you will take then SeatGuru says the CO 757-200 does have personal (seat-back) TVs with video-on-demand.

Virgin Atlantic flies non-stop from MAN to MCO as a CO code-share. If that is the flight you will take then the aircraft is a 747-400. Virgin has four versions of the 747-400 and SeatGuru says:

"Your aircraft will feature one of Virgin’s 4 entertainment systems, all with personal televisions. Cross your fingers for the V:Port system: it has 300 hours of Video on Demand, 15 computer games, Kid’s Zone programming and IMap."

Hope you have a good trip!

I will be traveling to Lima Peru in May and would appreciate any info on their service. What should I expect?

I really recommend Continental. I have traveled to Peru mostly through Lan Chile, because it is a very well known and trusted airline. Then I tried Taca and also Continental. All of these offered great services and timing, no delays, no troubles and prices where great.

I DO NOT recommend Avianca or Copa. They are bad in my opinion.

i am flying as an "unaccompanied minor" but not really because i am 15 and not getting the special service of whatever. do you have to pay baggage fee if your total trip is international, one domestic continental connection flight connecting at newark to an international flight?? how are those 757 planes transatlantic? i heard they are a bit iffy and run low on fuel. newark to madrid should be ok right?? do you have to buy headsets on continental and are there personal tvs? thanks!!

sorry i dont know why but i am like freaking out about this even though i have flown transatlantic many times

Do I have to pay a baggage fee?:

No, even though you have a domestic flight, your baggage gets checked in to your international flight, so you do not have to pay for baggage.

How are those 757 planes transatlantic?:

I’m sorry I am the one who has to tell you, the 757’s suck! It’s not necessarily the fuel that makes it iffy, it the fact that it is so small and so crammed to be in, especially during a transatlantic flight. Here is a link on the 757 you may want to read.

Newark to Madrid should be ok, right?

Ehh, that’s a pretty long route for a 757, so I would have to say, it’s not the best routing, but you should be able to live through it. You’re 15, definitely mature enough.

Do you have to buy headsets on Continental and are there personal TV’s?:

You do not have to buy headsets, one thing Continental is actually good for! Unfortunately, there are no personal TV’s either, which makes the flight even more of a drag! If you don’t believe me, here. This is the interior of the Continental 757.

Try to enjoy your flight :)

BTW: This is a picture of a Continental 757 if you want to see it:

Anything will help because I am short of money and need to save as much as possible.

Thanks for your help.

Continental Airlines 10% discount for 60 day advance, 5% thereafter:
Book through 1-800-468-7022 under reference # U8FSGH.

Im doing a research project and i need to know on average how much on average Continental pays their pilots a year. Thank you in advance.

Irdc9 is mostly correct.

The guy in the right seat is a First Officer not a Flight Officer.

At Continental, the B737-800, 900, and 900ER are LNs in addition to the B757 series.

my friend is going from ewr to abq there is a stop in texas. the first part is 4 hours and 10 minutes. the next part is like 2 hours. it says snack for the 4 hour one. will i get a meal or peanuts??? what do they serve on continental? sorry kind of confusing. my 2 questions r what do they serve on continental and what will i get thx!!!!

Buzz, he had the wrong answer.

When your flight is listed as a snack, you will get something filling. A very healthy sandwich with carrots, ranch dressing, and a salad or sometimes a hot sandwich or hamburger. A flight that long will also serve peanuts too.

Continental has excellent food. They have their own food catering business and cater to Other Airlines who charge their passengers. Continental never charges for meals.

If you have enough time between layovers, you can go to terminal E. They have a Pappas Restaurant and more food places in IAH airport. Termial C has Chili’s and more. IAH has a lot to offer in terms of food. Just know that Continentals food is not only free but nutritious and good also.

You can always stop and get something and eat it on the plane. You just have to buy the your drink after you go thru security.
