I’m going to a Sabres/Maple Leafs game in Toronto and I’d like to just stay the night rather than come home right after (I live in Buffalo) so I’d like to find a CHEAP motel to stay for the night, preferably within walking distance of the Air Canada Centre. Does anyone know of any? Tried Google Search, all I get are high class Hotels..

it’s right downtown,nothing is cheap

air canada?

I’m 16 and I was wondering for the basic requirement to become a pilot and work at air canada,on the list-it said you need 1000hours of flying but can you start early with private flight school and gain hours and when I graduate from a proper university and count the 1000 hours I did when I was 16..does that work or do I have to get the hours during university or after?

Basic requirement:
* 1000 hours of fixed wing flying time
* Completion of schooling to the university entrance level. Ability to pass the Air Canada and Transport Canada medical and visual acuity requirements for a Category 1 medical certificate.
* Canadian Commercial Pilot licence, current Instrument Rating and Multi-Engine endorsement.
* Canadian citizenship or landed immigrant status.

An hour is an hour, whether you get it when you’re 16 or after university. A 1000 hrs can take anywhere from 2-5 years to get.
Anyhow, to be an Air Canada pilot the requirements you mentioned above are a minimum. Usually they would hire pilots 3000 hrs an up but Other Airlines such as Air Canada Jazz or smaller charters would consider a 1000 hr pilot.
Also, a majority of your hours would have to e PIC (pilot in command) which would be hard to get unless yo become a instructor or a captain of a small plane or jet. So try to take it step by step rather than jumping to the big leagues right away.
If you need a degree and a license there’s a few universities and colleges that offer that now like Western and Waterloo.
Seneca College also has a degree program that gives you a frozen ATPL (airline transport) and a cadet program that gives the top students positions in Air Canada Jazz.

I have an interview with air canada jazz on monday for the customer service position. Anybody know what questions they ask? Any tips? Thanks!

Air Canada has customer service?????

I just checked the Air Canada website, it seems like I’m right, but I’m not very sure. I’m also confused about the difference between direct flights and connecting flights. Some connecting flights even showed up repeatedly. Somebody helps :) Some connecting show up repeadly on the same day.
*connecting flights

Yes there appears to be two daily (mon-fri) nonstop flights, one of which operates on saturdays too. The flights via toronto are connecting , and where you see the flight ex-halifax to toronto repeated, it is offering a different flight ex-toronto, say an hour later, etc.. With connecting flights, it often better to allow yourself a reasonable time period between flights, so you can find your way to the next gate, etc..

I am from UK, I bought a return air ticket to Canada (from Air Canada)
I am in Canada now, I may stay here for a longer time.
I want to change the return date, how can I do?

1) I email the air Canada website, they told me I need to wait about 10 days, I need to do it now
2) where are Air Canada agencies in Gatineau or Ottawa?

You should call the company. They can change your ticket for you. I really don’t think you should wait.
I did this with Westjet and they charged me a $50 fee to change the ticket. It was no problem.

You should be able to do it through either their website or by phoning Air Canada directly. All you will need is your locator number which is on your ticket and they can make the change for you based on seat availability. There will be a charge of course though.

Does anyone have any online promotional codes for Air Canada or Continental Airlines for the month of September?

Thanks!

http://www.airfarecouponcodes.com usually has them

I booked and paid for an Air Canada Vacation to Paris, and have now signed up for aeroplan. Can I get points for this trip to Paris, if I don’t leave until later in August? How do I do this?

No problem!

When you check-in, tell the agent your membership number.

Even if you forget this, you can claim the points afterwards by contacting AC, I believe within 3 months.

But my primary suggestion is that you call AC customer service and ask them to add your account to your existing booking. They do this all the time and they will know what to do.

I’d like to know if there is any Air Canada office in Vancouver? I can’t find any information at their websites. Thanks a lot.

I am almost sure they do since Vancouver is a hub for Air Canada. Many of their flights to Asia fly out of this city. You can go to the airline’s website and call customer service to find out. Maybe the website will even have the office locations.

My aunty worked for air canada but she quit , she still has passes tho , shes not telling me how much the buddy passes are , they are different compared to the passes that you get if you dont work for air canada . So if you worked for air canada , how much are the buddy passes?

Airlines usually allow employees to get a certain number of buddy passes for free every month. At least that was the case when my mom worked for the airlines.
