If Southwest wins this bid, will they have other types of planes in there fleet that Frontier flew other than the 737’s? Frontier flys dash400 and airbus for all I know.

Southwest made an offer. They say that Frontier’s culture matches Southwest Airlines’ culture and Frontier has a strong presence in Denver which is a market Southwest just got into.

There will be an issue of the aircraft since Southwest is an all-Boeing fleet of 737 aircraft while Frontier has Airbus. I am sure if anything happens, Southwest will make it work.

In related to the share price of the Frontier airline shareholders, what will happen to the shareholders after this purchase?

They receive shares of Republic

What happens to my stock? Is it worthless or is it more valuable?

Pretty much worthless. Frontier is in bankruptcy and one would expect the entire $113 million bid by Southwest to go to creditors. The deal is cash and no where did I see a plan to buy Frontier stock from the shareholders.

The airline industry is in horrible times at the moment, so I was wondering which airlines will merge with/acquire with Other Airlines, or if any will file chapter 11. Again, besides the inevitable Southwest/Frontier

Maybe a merger or two in the US. But the most dramatic changes will be in Europe.

Traditionally every country have their own state subsidized carrier. This will of course change, and the change will be brutal. The EU doesn’t allow for state subsidized companies.

Currently, there is: SAS, Lufthansa, KLM, Air France, Al Italia, TAP, British Airways, Air Lingus, Icelandair, Iberia, Swiss, Chech Air and many more.

They will be consolidated and maybe two or three will survive.

I have been watching videos on Youtube of people who have Frontier Airlines A319’s and A318’s for FSX but I can’t seem to find one anywhere.

After you pay for it, does it expire after 1-2 Hours or is it unlimited until you land.

It lasts till ur flight lands. It’s a good time killer on the plane. They’ve got plenty of channels and from my experience I’m positive they were live.


Frontier was voted best low-cost carrier in the world by business traveler magazine in 2006 and Skytrax has it listed as a 4 star airline out of five which might not sound impressive but consider that all flagship carriers i.e. Delta, Continental, American, Northwest, Us Airways, and United were all voted three star airlines. However, you have to realize that Frontier is a fairly new airline and it has about 10x less daily flights than all the flagship carriers so naturally there are going to be far more complaints for a flagship carrier than for new carriers such as Frontier or Jetblue who have very few flights.

Plus I find it interesting that Continental is a three star airline when for the past 5 years in a row JD Powers has voted it the best overall airline in the country and if you travel to European destinations, Europeans rave about flying Continental when they are using it as transfer points in the US. They also rave about Delta which is another airline I can’t understand being only 3 stars. I do not know how Skytrax votes on how many stars they give airlines but I disagree with their system. Having said that they do provide 100s of personal stories about traveling with all airlines which is nice.

Being a frequent flyer and an expert on domestic airlines, because I have flown almost all, I can say that Frontier is truly great airline. Last month they ranked number 4 in on-time performance (over 90% of all flights arrived within 15 minutes of schedule arrival) with only 20/1000 bags per passengers being lost. In terms of the experience; first the prices are amazing know matter where you are flying to, second the customer service is impeccable. They have fast kind workers. Third the planes are practically new with extra legroom (33’ compared to 31’) because it is an all economy cabin so they space out the rows better. Fourth the flight attendants are very friendly and prompt. Fifth depending on how long you are going to fly the food is great. If you are flying more than three hours you will get some great snacks. If you are flying more than 4 hours you get meals. Finally you will have your own personal TV screen nice features. So you will not be bored.

So overall you should have a pleasant flight that arrives on-time and you should save a lot of money in the process.

Got left in Houston due to Frontier’s policy of closing the trip 45 minutes before the flight. It was a connector and we had 40 minutes to make it from E concourse all the way to A concourse. They let our friends on just ahead of us and then said it "was policy" with this smug "sucks to be you" look on her face.

Worst true story get’s 10 points.

i went to baggage claim and it turned out that my luggage was lost. i went to the office and all they did was give me a little bag saying necessities with a toothbrush and what not. and to make it worse they sent my luggage to my home from where my flight departed so i got my luggage 2 weeks later.

Commercial features animal on the tailsection of a commercial airplane teasing one another. End of the commercial (where one of the planes if lying to Mexico) the animals break into a song that starts out Ay Ay Ay Ay… It’s stuck in my head and I would like to know the lyrics.
