I’m involved with a group headed for Toronto for a few days with about 40 people who enjoy fine dining along with visiting the museums. My task is put together a list of possible places to dine and museums to explore. We will be staying in one of the historic Hotels in downtown.
I have contacted Canoe Restaurant but interested in combining chinese, french, italian and maybe some good west indian restaurants. Suggestions please for lunch and dinner. This is spring trip!

Great choice at Canoe…it’s a really nice restaurant. It’s more Canadian fare than anything else though. Great view, nice chef.

Your problem, I am sure you’re aware, is that a group of 40 is very hard to accommadate. But here are in my opinion the BEST fine restaurants in Toronto that your group would enjoy.

Edit: Oh yeah, forgot Mark McEwan’s restaurants…One, North 44, and Bymark. Bymark isn’t that great, One is okay, it’s still quite new, but I am told it’s quite good. And North 44 has been a landmark for sometime now…can’t go wrong with North.

Chinese - Lai Weh Heen
French - Scaramouche (My fav), and Auberge du Pommier
Italian - Mistura
Various - George, Colborne Lane, and Splendido

As for Museams….the AGO, and ROM (C5 is a great resto there)

Additional Edit: C5 offers a great afternoon tea, in case you want to divert from lunch, and dinner. $25 or $35 with sparkling wine. 3-5 pm, I think it’s the best afternoon tea in Toronto. Better than the King Edward, or Windsor Arms.

Does anyone know where I can find the cheapest, most inexpensive vacation package to Las Vegas? I would be traveling from St. Louis. I say package because I want to combine the airfare/hotel/car rental, if possible. Does anyone have any ideas or other ways I can do this cheap? If I can, I’d like to go by the end of March? Is that possible?

The best site is travelworm.com. They have package prices hotel and air significantly lower than other sites. Try for the last week in March M-F, that’s four nights.

I would rent a car. Try US car rental in Las Vegas. They are cheaper than Enterprise and all those.

I’m 22. I’m currently living at home because I cannot afford a place on my own in the area in which we live- I work and go to school, so I can’t get a full time job as well. I haven’t been out of state alone ever. I haven’t been on vacation in years. I have wanted very much to go to a two day music festival that is about 8 hours away. My boyfriend wants to come along, but we couldn’t find anyone else who wanted to go. Combined admission and parking will total about $400. Gas will probably be about $200. All of the Hotels in the immediate area are booked- I can get one within an hour’s drive of the venue for two nights around $400. Because of financial constraints, My boyfriend and I cannot afford separate rooms. We are christian, and my parents are even moreso, if you follow. They refuse to go along with our sharing a room (double bed) for the two night period that is necessary. To me, and to him, this defies all reason, although I respect their view. I too consider it very important to avoid wrong- thus my refusing to live with a man until marriage, and extreme desire to work something out with my parents out of respect. I don’t know what to do- I very much want to attend this event, and have gone through a great deal of trouble to get off work for it. I need some advice very badly. I’m afraid of the fallout if I go against their wishes- that might include getting kicked out, which would mean having to move in with my boyfriend. We cannot afford separate rooms, even if they were to be had near the vicinity- and I would feel a whole lot safer being with him than alone. Help!!

You must live your own life but your parents always want what is best for you. They do not want to see you mess up your life. Be happy they care so much and just do what you have to do. They will love you no matter what

My family is going on a trip together to the beach near us and we want to stay in a hotel for the weekend. It will be me, my partner, her sister and 3 kids. So we wanted to do 2 separate rooms that are connected with a door, but when I use Hotels.com and all those similar sites, it always provides me with one room option with 2 beds… that’s not enough! How can I find out if local hotels offer combined rooms with a door connecting them? I don’t want to have to call every single hotel on the beach if I can help it!

I’m afraid you’re going to at least have to call a selection of those in your target price range. Connecting doors are not really advertised by hotels, and are generally not a common feature of modern hotels.

My favorite bands are Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and i also like Tokio Hotel..

i like red jumpsuits because they combine rock and scream..

what are some other simillar bands that are the same style????

Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Story of the Year, Trapt, Underoath, Thrice, Senses Fail, Escape the Fate, Saosin, Rise Against, (New, Not Old) Atreyu, Breaking Benjamin, Bullet for My Valentine, Eyes Set to Kill, (Some) Hoobastank, Pillar, Sick Puppies

You might also like The Offspring (hardly any screaming)

What major or majors combined would help me. and any other information. Thank you

I agree- UNLV has everything you will need and is the best school in the world for this.

The hotel is All Star Sports. Disneyworld.com wont give you a price for one teenager, they give you the price for the adult and the teen combined. I’m asking for a friend. Of course she wont be in the hotel room by herself, but she is paying for it. So she needs to know how much she will owe the adult thats taking her.

It a hotel room is priced per night, not how many people are in the room.

It doesn’t matter if she was 13, or 23 it would still cost the same per night.
It doesn’t matter if there is 1 person in the room or 4, it would still cost the same.

My friend and I want to combine our birthdays and have a party in a hotel room. Her birthday is at the end of October and mine is at the beginning of September. So we were thinking about doing it at the beginning of October. So any ideas of what we could do? It’ll probably have a pool and possibly in the middle of Boulder or Denver in Colorado. Any cheap but good places to stay? The room would probably have to fit about 4-6 teens. Thanks!

hey there

So the raddison hotel in Denver
886-539-8117
Its got a pool
it got a decent review
it is 171 usd for a room ment for four adults 2 Double beds. You could always ask more when you call about details. Looks affordable and nice! You could order take out, you could watch movies. Go bowling first maybe? Play cards? Order a pizza?
So you might want to bring an air mattress
Free WiFi
Balcony
Cable TV

Hotel Recommendations in Munich?

Jul-26-2009 By admin

My daughter is currently serving in Iraq and they are allowing her to go to Munich in June to take the LSATs. She has asked me to join her there. We will be in Munich from about June 13 to June 20. The test is given at Amerika House, Karolinenpl. 3, Munich. There are three hotels nearby - Erzgiesserei Europe , Hotel Amba and Hotel Pension Am Siegestor. She would like to stay near the testing center. What I am looking for in a hotel include: nice hotel, comfortable, clean, wireless internet, business center with printing capability.

If any of you are familiar with the these Hotels and can comment, that would be wonderful. If you recommend something in the general area that fits the general criterion, that would be wonderful too. A hotel that has some European charm combined with the above would be a plus.

We don’t ask for much, do we? <grin>
I am sure I can find this on the internet but might as well add it to this question. What will the weather be like at that time of the year? None of the hotels I listed have A/C, but I assuming it isn’t needed in Bavaria in June.

I’ve stayed at The Meridien in Munich and it was great! The rooms are spacious and they come with flat screen TV with internet. the decoration is modern and attractive, the hotel service is professional and warm (considering it’s German). It wasn’t very expensive.

Hello Im trying to get an idea of the atmosphere of a hotel swinger party. I plan on hosting these type party’s here in Austin. and want to know the do’s and dont’s so my party will be a success. I’ve been to a couple house party’s were the set ups were elaborate with mating rooms all over the place with diffrent themes. im trying to compact this into a hotel enviornment and want any ideas for turning a double suite (2 rooms combined) into a party scene? Thanks to all

We’ve actually hosted a few of these. The first thing to keep in mind is not to let the guest list get very big. You won’t have a lot of room, and you are in a public place, so you want to be able to maintain control, and keep noise to a minimum. Making sure you are quite familiar with the guests helps in this area also! You are smart in planning two rooms. We would always have one room for playing, and another for refreshments, and to just sit and talk.
If possible, choose a hotel where you can get to the rooms without going through the lobby. If hotel staff starts to notice to many strange people coming through at late hours, they WILL get suspicious! Too bad it won’t be in Dallas, we’d probably try to get an invite! Have fun!
