Online Tickets and Airline Travel

did everything go smoothly? with flight n resort?

I did a package deal through cheaptickets. Our flight was from Ohare to Amsterdam where we stayed at the Hilton. Good flight (long but good) The reservations came through perfectly with our hotel. The best part of course was that it was a reasonable trip. It didnt cost as much as an agent would have. I will use them again.

I found flights on cheaptickets.com for about 220 euro return. It seems ridiculously low so I am worried that I would be hit by a fuel surcharge at checkin. The flights are with British Airways.

Fuel surcharges are never collected upon check in. Whether an airline includes it in the fare or taxes it is always collected prior to ticketing

My mom is trying to buy me a plane ticket for Puerto Rico. When she searches for the flight it will only let her search for adults.if she buys the ticket like that can i still use the same ticket even if i am only 16.

You can’t normally buy tickets online for unaccompanied minors. The reason is that airlines often have special restrictions for minors.

It’s true that a 16 year old can generally travel alone, but the airline may still require a parental consent form. Even airline websites don’t usually permit ticket sales for unaccompanied minors for this reason.

Call the airline or a travel agent to buy them. They’ll go over all of the policies with your mother and ensure that you can travel with no problems.

I purchased a round trip ticket from LAX to Bangkok. I used this ticket to fly to Bangkok. I'm happy in Thailand and want to stay longer. The airline is Thai Airways. (According to Cheap Tickets I have to pay a fee of $180 (approximately) to modify this ticket. Can I change my ticket without paying and additional fees?

Sorry, but that's one of the reasons you paid a cheaper price … no changes or refunds. :-(

I found a great fare on southwest to San Antonio for the big 12 championship game, but all the return flights are sold out. That's why I need a one way ticket back.

Some of the budget airlines like JetBlue offer one-way fares. If that doesn't work out it's probably cheaper to buy another roundtrip ticket, set the return for a phony date and not use it. The airlines don't like you to do this but then I don't know why one-way fares are more expensive than roundtrip fares.

Once you find a ticket to fit your budget and schedule, also check the airline websites, sometimes they are cheaper.

Good Luck)

I searched the website, can't find a phone number. Just an e mail form to e mail my question. Why can't we talk to real people these days?

Cendant owns Cheaptickets.com. Their number is:

Im going to Chicago From Detroit on friday and my ticket for round trip is going to cost me 125$. Can I take a visa gift card from like CVS and use it to buy my e-ticket??

If you look at the small print on the packaging, you will see that there can not be used for airline ticket purchases. Your luck may vary if you go to the airport or a travel agency but then you have to pay extra fees for your ticket.

Would I need to pay for it through the site to get it at that price,(I have no idea how that works!) Or can I call the airlines & purchase it through them for the same price? thanks!

you can call their 800 number

I’m planning an anniversary trip to Cabo San Lucas (SJD) from Portland, Or (PDX) from oct 27th to 29th…short, I know, but I wanna do something really spontaneous. The cheapest I’ve found so far is $362 per person round trip. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

USAir has those dates $356 r/t total, http://www.usair.com
Flight discounter ATI has it $343 r/t total.

I checked everywhere else for you already, and ATI and USAir were the best options.
