i want to stay a week or less in a cool city - not too big, because ill be alone. id like the flight to be fairly cheap (500 or less roundtrip). is there such a thing? i usually check cheapoair.com or bing.com/travel. somehow ive heard of people getting really cheap flights though. please share with me your ideas!

Try kayak and other like u said.

ive always booked my air tickets at a travel agent or direct with the carrier but i saw a deal online that would save me $1000.00 cdn. The company is an online company called cheapOair.com..It seems a little hard to believe that I can save $1000.00 booking with them vs a travel agent or online direct with the carrier. I checked with www.philippineairlines.com but when i checked with cheapOair.com they have the exact same carrier (Philippine air) and the exact same route, departure etc. but again $1000.00 less…Im wondering if there is a way of finding out if this is a legitimate company and if there are any hidden charges they may not be listing.

They are legit, but very sketchy. I’m a station agent with a regional airline (meaning I’m trained to work the ramp, ticket counter, and gate at my airport), and twice while working the ticket counter I’ve had passengers who booked with cheapOair show up to the airport and their itinerary was incomplete, which is not valid for travel. Their VCR (Virtual Coupon Record) was non-existent, which is needed to check in passengers and issue boarding passes. Both passengers were out over $500 and we had to deny them boarding (this was two separate events on different days).

I would recommend not booking with them. Try other competitive online airfare websites like Priceline or Expedia. I booked with these guys multiple times before I got my job with the airlines, and they are more than reliable. They sent me e-mails advising me if there was ever a change in my itinerary, and multiple reminders about my trip as my travel date was approaching. This is service you can never expect to get with cheapOair.

okay im tryin search st.louis MO to san diego CA
one way 2 traveler (1 adult and 13 year old which ever that goes to)

class:economy august the 20th anytime

last night i went on cheapoair.com and i had found 150$ but now that i check is 248$ and how did it get that way??? ? and i begging you can u found the cheapest ticket that u can found Or Give the cheapest website ticket?i been trying to look for an hourr!!!

The thing with ticket prices is that it is always changing. If you see something reasonable, you must buy it immediately. See if Southwest Airlines has anything otherwise I would say $248 is reasonable. You need to buy quickly otherwise the ticket prices will continue to rise.

I have been looking for flights to bring a friend of mine to visit. CheapOAir.com has offered a rate significantly lower than any other website I’ve looked at. ($190 Round trip vs. $358 Round trip) Before booking the flights I decided to look at some reviews from them to make sure they weren’t going to rip me off. All I’ve managed to find out is that they have bad customer service representatives on the phone. I don’t particularly care if they have bad customer service. I just want to be sure that I’m going to get what I pay for, and it will actually be what it’s telling me.

I used to check cheapoair.com with regularity, because they had some good deals. I don’t anymore because their rates are the same as other websites such as Orbitz, Expedia or Travelocity.

But they are a reliable online travel agency. If you’re asking about reputation, they seem to be alright. Customer Service is bad everywhere these days, all the travel agencies have outsourced their CS department to India..

I am wanting to book a ticket online but may change my date to come back later. Does cheapoair.com have a open ticket option or does any other sites? If I book a icket online how do I change it later and what are the fees to do so?

Most airlines don’t sell open tickets anymore, as the first answer said, you can buy a full fare ticket or two one-way tickets but the price of either is usually very high. There are many different fare classes with different restrictions, it might be best to give an airline or travel agent a call and find out out exactly what the penalty is for different fare classes to change your return date. I don’t think you’ll easily find that information online.

I’ve been looking at cheaptickets.com and cheapoair.com and all I’ve found are flights for 105 total but I would have to pay extra for my checked bags (I’m moving to college, so I’m taking a lot of stuff). So far the only other reasonable option I’ve found is through Southwest since they cost around the same but don’t charge extra for the first 2 checked bags…

Could you tell me any better deals, if any, which you have found from previous experience?

I really appreciate it! THANKS :)
Hi, we always use Airtran.com and they also have great service.

I checked August 25 and 26 for you and LOTS of flights those days for $64. That would be a Tuesday and Wednesday. Usually cheaper to fly those days. Mon, Fri and Sat are $79 for that week.

They now charge $15 for first checked bag, $25 for second. Of course you can have carry-ons in addition. Not sure how many bags you are planning on taking, and know that there is a limit on all airlines as to weight of a bag up to 50lbs usually. After that they charge fees for excess weight.

So, take all that into consideration when looking for the best price. All have different fees now. Really sucks they charge for baggage now on all flights!

Good luck and here is the link for Airtran’s baggage page:

Oh, and if you have never flown Southwest, you may want to read this article, cause it’s very frustrating how they do seating. Fiance did once and never ever again!
Here’s why:

Good luck to you oh and yeah, you can always ship your stuff ahead of you too.

I want to make a trip in June with my parents to Orlando, Florida for a Fan-Festival, and a holiday for them. But we are short on funds, and I wanted to know if there are better sources then http://www.cheapoair.com/ ?

Help?

There are a lot of websites MUCH cheaper than cheapoair. I am going to give you the only piece of advice that was given to me for finding cheap travel deals, and it works to this day… Compare as many travel websites as you can as often as you can. Since you have a few months, start searching today and search the flights or Hotels or whatever you need every week until the month before you are going. If anything is unusually cheaper, book it on that date. I would definitely recommend checking out the website BookMe. You can compare ALL the reputable travel sites from one location, and save tons of money. Good luck and check out the link below, and you will be all set.

Is cheapoair.com ok?

Not sure why you are asking the same question over again - I already gave you a lot of references to indicate that it is not "ok" but hey it you don’t want to know about it, then go for it, kiss your money goodbye……… but don’t say that you weren’t warned!

I’m trying to get cheap airline tickets to Jordan/Mid East… I found some good deals thought discount websites such as CheapOair.com but I’m afraid to buy them… I never bought airline tickets online and I don’t know what to expect, the cheapest airfare was on a Delta plane I guess or through Delta airlines… how does this work? after I pay online would they send me a copy? do I print the tickets? would Delta acknowledge the tickets? Please, please, please if you bought your tickets online through any website explain to me how it works and what was your experience with it? do you recommend it?…etc…

I recently traveled from US to Turkey and bought tx on CheapoAir. They worked fine. We had a canceled flight during the trip, and they weren’t much help getting it resolved, but I found an airline person to fix it. For direct flights involving a single airline, I wouldn’t expect any problems. I don’t think the insurance offered by CheapoAir was a good deal, however.

Hi i wanted to know if you can cancel an airplane ticket in cheapoair.com. I bought it like a week ago but i now i want to cancel it. Do they give you ur money back?

It depends on the ticket you purchased. Often times, the tickets purchased on the cheaper sites are non-refundable. Check on your receipt and see what it says.
