I fly a ton for work with both United and US Airways and am looking to make a decision about which frequent flyer program to start using. Are they merging their programs soon? Thanks for the help.

US Airways. RJ

On Skywest airline website there was an position that opened up for a ramp agent at my local airport. I put my application in on the 22nd of september and the closing date was on October 5th. How long does it take for them to make a decision on who to pick for this position? Still waiting for their response and today is October 19. Let me know if you have a answer thanks!

Airline jobs have been in high demand lately (ANY job is!) so they were probably inundated with applications.

You could call/contact to see what the status of the position is.

A week ago I bought my airfare off of orbitz.com. I don’t know what i do to make sure my luggage all gets to London with me at the same time without it being left in Chicago where I transfer from American Airlines to British Airways. Help!

Yes. But to clarify when you check in make sure you state that you are switiching airlines and you need your luggage moved to that flight at your connection’s destination….

I am flying from Toronto, ON to Tokyo, Japan which is roughly a 13 hour flight. I am 6′4" and am a little concerned about having my legs literally squished for that long in economy class. (2 hour flights are quite unbearable for me). I was once told that being over 6′ tall, I could request an emergency exit seat and they "have" to accommodate my request. If there is no emergency seat available at that point, I am automatically bumped to first class. Is this still a policy of Air Canada?

they r not gonna bump u to first just cuz ur tall I am 6′3 never been upgraded for free or emergency seat.
Dude they will gve u em seat if they want no rule,I think, still call them.

We being responsible citizens are expected to, recycle, change bulbs, cut back on heating, use the car less etc. Are we doing all this so Air Travel can continue grow. I read that plane emissions are less armful, but the scale of planes in the atmosphere must have some affect. This my view, what are your thoughts.

idk

I am flying to chicago from sacramento round trip, how many times will they charge me bag fees and how much, also whats the limit, and is there a way not to pay for luggage , some type of dicount with us airways ?

Bag fees will be charged in both directions. Pack very lightly so you can fit everything into a carry-on if you want to avoid the fees. The charges are shown here on the airline website: http://www.usairways.com/en-US/traveltools/baggage/baggagepolicies.html Note that it’s cheaper if you check-in on line and pay at that time.

problem with orbitz.com seats?

Nov-25-2009 By admin

we ordered tickets through orbitz.com and i got an email saying that it was confirmed and that "the airline is assigning seats at check-in choose seats" but am i gonna get another email and recieve the number or are they going to tell me at the airport?

You’ll do this when you check-in. If you check in on-line, then you’ll pick your seats as a part of the process before you print your boarding pass. If you check in at the airport, then you’ll get seats at that time.

I saw a couple of deals that looked good late last night, but were gone today. When I called the actual hotel, they told me that those deals did not guarantee the room.?. Anybody.

I use Hotwire almost exclusively for booking hotel rooms. I have booked over 30 room/nights over the past 3 years and have not had one problem. And I have saved a ton of $$. I can’t speak to Expedia or Priceline (although I have used Priceline a couple of times for car rentals). I think it’s the only way to travel!!

I have to pick up my new pet from laguardia airport from american airlines, but since this is my first time, where would I have to go to pick him up??

Pet never come on the regular conveyor belts.. Normally they’re brought to the same place– usually called "odd sized"– where things like pets, golf clubs, surfboards and such would be delivered.. Odd sized is usually near or beside the regular baggage belts..

Just ask where is "odd size" baggage..

This does assume your pet is moving as baggage and NOT freight/cargo.. Freight and/or cargo is delivered to the airlines freight or cargo building which is usually at a different part of the airport, not attached to the regular passenger terminals.

Known meteor showers come during the year. It is unlikely one would fall to the Earth - thus through the entire atmosphere - but how many might? Is there any substantial risk to Air Travel because of this?

The risk is extremely small. The great majority of meteoroids are very small and burn up in the upper atmosphere, well above any aircraft. Only a couple larger ones could possibly make it through, but the chance that an aircraft would just so happen to be in its path would be extremely small.
