I am flying into New Delhi for one night, and then have to catch a plane elsewhere in India the next morning. What affordable Hotels are close to the airport? I don’t want to spend a lot of money, but I also don’t want to have to drive very far from the airport, since I have to be back bright and early the next morning.
The hotel can be close to either the international or domestic terminal, since I’m flying in international but going domestic the next day.
Thanks!
I remember of staying at a hotel in Mahipalpur area(10-15m drive from both the terminals) last year. I don’t remember the name though .It was about Rs. 1500 for an A/C type room just for a night. They would quote some high price if you show up with a lot of luggage.Don’t forget to bargain.
You can get a prepaid taxi at the airport counter and ask the taxi driver to take some hotel.
Hi,
If I buy tickets from a travel agency (not via Air Canada official website), can I still gain miles for Aeroplan? If I can, how should I do?
Thanks!
My workplace books all of our travel through Amex and while we don't do it, we could give them our Aeroplan number and have the points added at that time (although they normally wait till the flight has been completed to add the points, the number will still be associated with the ticket) but we tend not to do that because travel agents and such can lose the number or forget to have it added into the system.
It's much easier to just go ahead and book your trip and then when you check in at the airport make sure you give them your Aeroplan number then and it will get entered into the system. That way you know it's done.
My inlaws recently traveled on Air Canada and when I did the online check in for them before they flew I used my Aeroplan number and got the points myself. They don't have a number of their own.
I am going alone to visit my parents. My 20 month old has flown before, but my husband and in-laws were with. I have packed a number of special toys, a video IPOD and snacks. What I would love are specific things that have worked for you. He is super busy!! What would not be appreciated are suggestions not to fly (not an option) or use Benedryl (he reacts)
Bring along new items that he has never seem before. I have taken toy cars (Hot Wheels) , playdoh, & coloring books. Make a trip to the Dollar tree before you go and stock up on small items you think he would like. A good friend of mine is traveling to Australia next month from the eastern US with two toddlers and a newborn. Imagine that. Hopefully your trip is not nearly as long! Good luck.
i’m going to book a flight through cheapoair and i’m taking united airlines. and i want to know can i pick my seat on a seat map through cheapoair.com?
If its a domestic flight, you should be able to. But if not, after you make the purchase, you can use the airline record locator that they give you for the United flight and punch that in on www.united.com and you can pick your seats there.
I want to travel to Seattle with my pet by Virgin America Airline, but not sure if my pet would be comfortable under my seat…..
I haven't flown VA, but I travel with my pet under my seat quite frequently. If the pet is under 15 pounds, then they'll fit into the approved kennel very easily and they can still move around. They'll be just fine. At home, I'm sure you see some of the crazy sleeping positions they have. As far as being active, I give my pets a Benadryl to help them sleep. I don't want them getting anxious with all of the other people around and start crapping all over the kennel. They are very frequent flyers and they actually know that when they see the Sherpa kennel, it's time to go flying and thet get all excited. My 7 month old puppy actually jumps right into the kennel without me grabbing her. Both of my dogs are mini-Dachshunds.
I am applying for a job at Northwest Airlines and will soon be going for the first interview. I have passed the 3 online things. Now what kind of test will i have to take as when will i take it. When i first go in for the interview or do i have to go back for multiple interviews. If anyone works for northwest can you please exlain what is going to happen thanks.
All airlines drug test these days, usually they will only test you after you have been offered a job, they don't bother drug testing people they're not going to offer jobs to. A friend of mine recently was offered a job with another major airline pending a drug test. He submitted a urine sample and tested postitive, the job offer was immediately rescinded.
I checked their website and it said that I am allowed one carry-on item, however I've been on many other flights before and was always allowed to take a carry-on item and an additional personal item like a purse with me. Is US Airways really more strict or is it just a misrepresentation of information on their website. If anyone knows the specifics or has experience flying with US Airways please let me know. Thanks.
In addition to one carry-on bag, customers may bring one personal item, which includes a purse, briefcase, laptop or diaper bag. US Airways permits carry-on baggage of up to 51 inches (11×14x26). US Airways Express flights accommodate carry-on baggage of up to 45 inches (19×15x11). You must check all larger baggage.
Here's some examples:
American Airlines
Delta Airlines
South West Airlines
They all use the same aircraft, so I do not have a favorite. I prefer fixed wing with propellers or turbo props.
I guess I like Delta, they been around for awhile, so has AA.
I flew Delta to Europe ten years ago, it was fun. I have not flown since. I sail a boat now.
