Online Tickets and Airline Travel

Archive for December, 2007

I just bought some tickets for Continental Airlines. The website won't let me select seats. Why? How can I get seats assigned to me?

I just don't want to get to the airport and be screwed the day I am leaving because I do not have an assigned seat. I did already pay for the tickets, I just don't have a specific seat assigned to me.

I had problem with it too. But I had them select my flight for me. But call the airlines.

Do you know of any cheap and good travel deals online where I can find get the flight and hotel included?

Both Easyjet and Ryanair are able to offer flight & hotel deals, between them covering all the popular areas of France, using in excess of 20 airports. Choose where you fancy, then visit their sites to see who flies to that area. Easyjet also have "deals of the day", which may appeal. P.S. Also from Tues. 17th. for 48 hrs, Easyjet have an extra discount on all holidays, varying from 10% -50%. Have just had this in an e-mail from them.

With all the problems with airlines there seem to be these days, I can't seem to keep straight which are the airlines to avoid. I'm looking at a Northwest flight to Hawaii and thought I'd check before I purchase.

There is very little difference between most major airlines. The seats are about the same size (except mainly for JetBlue and they don't fly to Hawaii), the service is mediocre, and meals in economy class are nonexistent except for long flights. All of them are losing money. Air Travel has become nothing more than basic transportation.

If you have a choice, I suggest Continental. They tend to be a bit better. Otherwise, just take the airline that gives you the best combination of good schedule and low fare. You won't notice much difference.

I think I'm going to fly with Delta because they allow guinea pigs in the cabin (their cage will be slid under the seat in front of me). here is a list of Other Airlines ive called that dont allow guinea pigs in the cabin or at all.
United Airlines
South west airlines
jetblue
american west airlines
continental
Air Tran
. Do u know of any other airlines I can call? or of any that allow guinea pigs in cabin?

Any tips on my guinea pigs going with me, I don't want them to be scared or get sick…

one thing………….. if you are planning to travel the air with a guinea pig, keep in mind that there ears can pop just like people's ears, and since they are so small they are not used to so much pain and may get an ear problem or get completely scared!!!! I have a guinea pig too, and we were going to fly with it, but then i found out that it can hurt them, so if you want my personal opinion i would say not to fly with him. Don't fly with him, and if you are going somewhere where you HAVE to fly, then consider boarding the guinea pig at a local vet or at a trusting friend or family's house. Please, take my advise…..for the guinea pig's sake.

ive just confirmed, and need to know the NEXT step.(:

now you need to print the confirmation out, and take that to the airport when you go. that's it. have a nice trip, and safe return.
